yuletide assignments are going out tonight! I cannot believe how excited I am for this. I am seriously bouncing in my chair, thinking about rubbing my hands together, and repressing a squeal. Is it a little sad that I'm more excited about this Christmas gift exchange than I am for my family gift exchange? I don't like my family much, so I guess it's not too sad.
As for that special someone who gets my wishlist, here is my open letter about my likes and dislikes, in case I didn't cover them in my requests.
Dear
yuletide Secret Santa,
In general, I love the angst and the darkness. The angstier and darker, the better. Violence, kink, unhappiness, death!fic, non-con, abuse, BDSM (in a sexual or non-sexual setting), sad endings? Totally ok by me. In fact,
awesome by me. The only things I really wouldn't be ok with are scat, golden showers, Roman showers, and bestiality.
But if you don't like to go that dark, angst in general is great. Most of my requests have incest options, so any UST or angsting over general 'wrongness' is fantastic.
As for relationships, I think I specified pretty clearly in the requests which relationships I'd like to see, but again, if relationships in general or the relationships I want aren't your thing, gen is cool too. I'm not down with het for the most part, so if it comes down to choosing between writing a gen story or a het story, I'd prefer gen. I don't think I specified any female characters in my requests, though, so it shouldn't be a problem.
I'm not a big fan of schmoop, fluff, romance, happy endings, etc. If that's what you do best and you can't see your way clear to writing anything else, though, I will love it and cherish it. At this point, any kind of story in any of the fandoms I requested is going to be the best present ever. :)
Thank you kindly, Secret Santa. :)
ETA: Forgot to mention, porn/smut/whatever you call it is totally ok by me, too, but definitely not required.
ETA 2: Reading over other people's SS letters, it made me realize I might want to specify a couple of other things. I am usually reeeeally open-minded about whatever kinks or twists people throw into a story, and I have even RPed my fair share of mpregs. But unless you're
really good at making mpreg believable, I'd prefer not to have it in any of the fandoms I specified. Also, good grammar and spelling will make me love a fic ten times as much as I normally would. :)
ETA 3: I could ramble ad nauseum about my particular fandom likes and dislikes, but I don't want to cramp your style. Like I said, basically anything from any of the fandoms I requested is going to keep me squeeing through
next Yuletide. :D But if you really want more specifics, feel free to mail the Yuletide mods and I will get up some in depth ramblings for you to peruse ASAP.
