It is so RIDICULOUSLY cold here today. It's supposed to be something like negative 25 tomorrow, wtf. Go away, weather.
I don't talk politics much here, but the caucus is Thursday night and I'm still undecided. HRM. I was leaning toward Clinton, and now I'm leaning toward Obama. I think my brother is going with me, even though he's only seventeen, he'll be eighteen by the election so he can still caucus. I'm thinking about calling up my sister that I don't even get along with and roping her into coming, too, just so there's another body.
Do any of you guys have a caucus/primary in your state, and if so, do you participate? This is my first year, so I'm a little...not nervous really, but unprepared, I suppose.
My brother and I watched No Country For Old Men last night and.... No, really. What? I suppose it didn't help that I was going into it expecting something way different. My brother just told me it was about this guy that found some money and he had to escape these other guys that wanted the money. So I'm expecting action, or at least some action. But I still didn't really get the point of the movie, and I suppose I'm revealing how dreadfully ignorant I am with that statement, but oh well. I've read that it's supposed to be less about plot and more about characters, but I didn't really see a lot of character development, either.
And then I wandered into the pit that is the IMDB boards, and now I'm more confused than ever. Some people are saying the sheriff's character is the same person as the killer's? That it was his alter ego, the part of him that couldn't stand the evil and injustice in the world that he as a sheriff couldn't do anything about. All right, I'll admit I'm kind of hoping that's the case, just because it would make the movie more interesting, but I didn't see any hints of that at all. And wasn't the killer more evil and unjust than a lot of the people he was killing?
IDEK.
I also watched I Am Legend and now desperately want Supernatural crossover fic, where Dean and or Sam have managed to survive and make their way to New York.
Happy New Year, bbs! ♥

I read this post-apocalyptic Mohinder/Sylar fic that I might have told you about but don't remember if I did, where Sylar keeps Mohinder safe with his powers. SAM DOING THE SAME, y/y? Anything with Sam developing his powers = win for me. Maybe Dean's not even immune, but Sam is CONSTANTLY keeping this mental bubble around Dean so he doesn't get the airborne virus. Which would be bothersome, but homg. He'd either be so powerful that it would be subconscious, or else it had to be conscious and he'd be slowly consumed by the power because he's using it 24/7, not even stopping for sleep, so the power is keeping him awake.
OH. I searched LJ, del.icio.us, Google, aaand I found TWO Andy/Webber fics. On the internet. TOTAL. I am a sad sad puppy. But they are both v. v. good!
This (http://nixwilliams.livejournal.com/32100.html#cutid1) and this (http://community.livejournal.com/thrillsforall/19871.html), the latter being REALLY FUCKED UP. But good! But fucked up.
Two cool things I found during my search:

LKJSDLKJSDF. Quite obviously you would be the one that would not only AGREE with me on the I Am Legend/SPN crossover, but EXPAND on it. OH SDLKJDSFLKJSD MY GOD. Ok, so, this is why I love you. I totally had this whole thing on the morals and ethics and either Sam or Dean being all deep and indignant about killing the creatures, and then I took it out because I didn't know where I was going with it. But it was basically about how my first thought was that it would be Sam, you know, maybe Dr. Neville lets them stay at his house, and they find the lab, and Sam is like, hey, these are still people, you shouldn't be experimenting on them and killing them, etc. etc. But then I thought, well, really, with the direction Sam's going right now, I bet he wouldn't be the one with the problem.
I don't think you told me about the Mohinder/Sylar post-apocalyptic fic. :( BUT OMG. Maybe Dean's not even immune, but Sam is CONSTANTLY keeping this mental bubble around Dean so he doesn't get the airborne virus. LKJSDLFKJSD. Or even maybe keeping Dean locked up in some airtight room, and Dean's like, Sam, look, if I'm not immune then that's just the way it is, you can't keep me locked up here forever, and Sam's like, not forever, just until I find a cure. By which he means find someone who can find a cure. And by which he means by any means necessary. And maybe Sam starts experimenting on the creatures.
TWO? Good god. There needs to be a SPN minor character ficathon, y/y? THANK YOU BB. I am running off to read those right now.

You took that part out? As in, you are currently writing it? *longing for I Am Legend/SPN*
Mohinder/Sylar (http://toestastegood.livejournal.com/249704.html#cutid1)! This author, oh my fucking God. I have this weird kink with slash pairings where I just like a certain half of the pairing to be a little unhealthily obsessed with the other half? With Wincest, it's Dean, with Remus/Sirius, it's Sirius, and with Mylar? Yeah, Sylar, and this author just hits that spot every time with all her stories, guh. I feel like a dog getting that spot on its tummy rubbed, that spot that makes its leg kick uncontrollably. XD

Haha, no, not writing it. ...yet. >.> I just meant when I made this post I had this whole thing about why I wanted an I Am Legend/SPN crossover and what would happen in it, and I got talking about the morals of everything, and then I just took it out.
I just read both of those other fics you linked and omg. Seriously, why are there not more Andy/Ansem fics?!? WHY. That second one, jesus. SO GOOD. While I was reading, I thought maybe the unnamed guy was Dean. I WAS HOPING. But it was still amazing.

Yeah, that is a weird kink. Totally strange. I definitely can't sympathize with that kink. >.> No but for serious, that is one of the best kinks out there and you should just always rec me anything even in fandoms I don't know that contain that kink. I am off to read that one now and maybe get inspired or something. Or maybe rewatch I Am Legend.

Also, Holmes/Watson (http://yuletidetreasure.org/archive/3/outof.html), based on the mystery of the three garridebs, my FAVORITE of the Holmes stories. Idk if you read Sherlock Holmes or not, but Watson almost dies and you see Holmes's deep loyalty to Watson, which is a completely big deal because usually, you know, Holmes = robot, and he totally went to the other dude, "If you had killed Watson, you would not have got out of this room alive." And it just made me all sniffly when I read it, when I was like TWELVE, even before I liked slash, so nowadays when I read it, I am hopeless. So this AU of that short story turned me into a WRECK. Homg.
PS: You fully fully need to do that minor character ficathon thing. It is the winningest idea evar.

You know, I think that's half the reason I love the idea of evil!Sam so much, not just because damn is he hot when he's evil, but because I can't picture evil!Sam without some major story between him and Dean. Either Dean fighting against Sam but them still loving each other other, etc., or Dean being Sam's right hand during his evil reign, even if hesitantly, or Sam going evil but keeping Dean safe even if Dean's completely against what he's doing. You know. I just love the idea that even as a monster, even if Sam went completely sociopathic, his love for Dean would be crazy/creepy/obsessive enough that there would still be this need/desire for him.
I don't read Sherlock Holmes at all, but um, yeah, that one line right there has hooked me, plus it's a rec from you so I'm all over it.
MAYBE I WILL. *ponders*

Now I'm waiting for Dean to die. Because I want so badly for Sam to go into hell for Dean, and fetch him, Orpheus/Eurydice style. Ideally? Sam taps into his demon blood and becomes Evil Demon Jesus, general of hell's armies, maybe fight off some demon rivals who want his power, all so he can make his way into hell and save Dean.
(I think I have a THING for them dying. One of my favorite fics of yours? The one where Sam is dead in Dean's arms and Dean kisses him. It just STUCK with me.)
Ohhh, I bet you've already read shalott/astolat's fics, but though I usually prefer obsessive!Dean, Unasked (http://www.intimations.org/fanfic/supernatural/Unasked.html)'s obsessive!Sam makes me cry every. single. time. I am INCAPABLE of reading that fic without sobbing. Additionally, I just read Punxsatawney (http://www.intimations.org/fanfic/supernatural/Punxsutawney.html) by her for the first time. Twice in a row. Cried both times at broken Sammy.
Hahaha, the great thing about Sherlock Holmes fandom is that you barely even need to know anything about the fandom. Pop culture references will probably have given you all the backstory you need. Holmes is the rational detective, Watson is the loyal sidekick who chronicles their adventures. And they're in love. END.

I've been hearing so many good reviews on I Am Legend. I'm glad because I wanted to see it. I should expect good things considering it's a Will Smith movie. He wouldn't allow the movie to suck.
no subject
It really is good, I wasn't overly thrilled with the ending, but it wasn't bad.

You've lost me a little with some of the political terms there :O But it sounds like it's a positive make your vote count kind of stance and I am all for that (especially if it means never having anyone as dumb as George w. Bush in office again)
Ok I have never heard of that movie but it doesn't sound like i want to so it's all good lol. Beware of imdb boards though they are a strange uncertain planet consisting of crazies and people obsessed with working out either ones pinpoint exact ethnic background, or which other person so and so 100% positively resembles...and that's about it! lol
OMG I went to see I am Legend at the cinema today and well see i never even thought of spn crossover and yet you make me see how awesome it could be! :D
ps: I am legend spoiler....

Also, your idea for the SPN/IAL crossover? SOUNDS FABULOUS. If you find someone to write that definitely rec it so I can read too XD
no subject
Anyway, is it just me or are apocalypse movie the newest thing right now? There seem to be quite an amount of them!
And a crossover with SPN would probably be the very best thing to happen to IAL. It all reminds me of my apocasmut fic. Which btw is getting long. I warned you!
Happy New Year, baby!
