Okay, well, it's set in England, roughly around 1812-1815. Brendon is a younger son of an Earl, and he has just finished up University. His eldest brother is the heir, and his second brother is an officer in Wellington's army in the Peninsula, fighting the Corsican Butcher. As such, Brendon is obviously promised to the church. He is expected to take up his own parish once the Season is over. It's the end of the summer, and August 12th is drawing ever closer, and he's off to stay at his friend Pete's country estate, who has just married the Season's Incomparable, Ashlee. As a celebration of their marriage, Pete (who is a Duke) has invited roughly half the ton to celebrate at his estate, where there are all sorts of events planned. And as entertainment, Pete has hired these gypsies that pass through his land every summer. (DUN DUN DUUUUUUN~!)
