FEELING BOB BRYAR IS THE BEST WAY TO FEEL. ...you are welcome to interpret that as you see fit. :D
I've written 20k of overly self-indulgent fic that I will never show the world, but I don't think I've ever written anything with the serious intent of showing it off. Now that I'm considering that fact, I'm a little more nervous than before. Eep.
Ahaha, Bea. ONLY YOU WOULD WRITE SOMETHING BASED OFF WHAT YOU SAW ON CNN. I LOVE IT. I've never actually seen "Wall Street". /o\ It's the one with Charlie Sheen? Tell me about your casting choices!
When I realized how many 20K was earlier, I was kinda panicky and making O.O eyes. Like, 'wow, that's a lot of words.' BUT WE CAN TOTALLY DO IT.
Actually, if that's a movie I haven't seen it either. Ahahahaha. It's actually an AU set in Wall Street, the place? The place that is going to hell in handbasket thanks to the economy? There.
ANYWAY, Ryan owns this cafe/restaurant thing! And it's going down! Because the world Recession is evil! And even if you can't tell it on his face, Ryan is so so sad to have to let go of these people he has been working with for years. Like Brendon! His spazzy kind-of best friend who's an aspiring Broadway actor who performs whenever there's a function at the Cafe! And Gabe, his sarcastic prissy maitre'd! Alex, his amazing head chef! And Jon, his really charming waiter who has this awesome weed! And Spencer, Spencer Smith is working at the NYSE [Stock Exchange!]. And he's one of those sad guys on trading floors who's only joy in life is his lunch breaks and he always goes to the Cafe. And when he sees that it's going out of business, he is a sad puppy. And he meets another sad puppy Ryan. And then there are all the reporters who end up coming to the place to cover this END OF AN INSTITUTION. And among them are Pete and Bob and Tom. And even though it's an ending, there are beginnings also. Errrr, or something like that.
And it was totally inspired by a segment on CNN. Totally. And, lol, the owner of the actual St. Maggie's Cafe was so sad. ;__;
I RECAST EVERYTHING INTO BANDOM INTO MY HEAD AND THIS ONE ACTUALLY MADE SENSE. Lmao. Idk idk idk... /o\/o\/o\
